Revolutionizing Standardization and Modularization in Commercial Architecture

FENG CHENG, a leading architectural firm based in Shanghai, has unveiled the Taizhou Mansion, a groundbreaking commercial architecture project that redefines the urban landscape in Taizhou, China. The project, completed in March 2019, introduces a new approach to standardization and modularization, setting a new standard for modern commercial architecture.

The Taizhou Mansion is a testament to FENG CHENG's commitment to creating natural surroundings within urban spaces. Inspired by the elegance of Chinese gardens, the project features winding paths, zigzag walls, and small courtyards that seamlessly integrate with the building's design, providing a tranquil oasis in the bustling city center.

Constructed using white sandstone, metallic aluminum sheet, glass, and metal grids, the Taizhou Mansion spans a land area of 2616sq with a building area of 437sq. The project's innovative design separates the site from noisy outdoor areas, creating a serene environment that fosters a strong connection to the surrounding natural landscape.

For this remarkable achievement, FENG CHENG's design team, including Yuanfeng Xu, Shuo Xu, and Qinggang Zhu, overcame numerous creative and technical challenges to bring the project to life. Their meticulous attention to detail and dedication to implementing standardized module design have earned the Taizhou Mansion the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in 2020, recognizing its outstanding contribution to architecture, building, and structure design.
