Clinic Zen: A Harmonious Blend of Residential and Commercial Design

Fabio Su's Clinic Zen is a groundbreaking architectural project that redefines the traditional concept of medical spaces. Located in Chiayi City, Taiwan, this innovative design seamlessly integrates a clinic and residential space, setting a new standard for harmonious coexistence. The exterior features simple yet elegant lines, surrounded by lush greenery, creating a serene and comfortable environment for patients and residents alike.

This unique design not only prioritizes practicality but also focuses on spatial planning and professional integration, resulting in a harmonious field environment. By combining the essential elements of a clinic with the comfort of a residential space, Clinic Zen aims to alleviate the tension of patients and create a calming atmosphere, essential for medical settings.

Constructed using a variety of materials including logs, granite skins, arctic gray stone, fir, H-type steel, and more, Clinic Zen spans 5 floors with a total area of 199.4 Ping. The project began in November 2017 and was completed in April 2021, showcasing a meticulous attention to detail and a deep understanding of the needs of both clinic and residential spaces.

One of the key challenges overcome in the design process was the integration of the clinic and residential areas, especially in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. The project successfully addressed the need for public and private area separation, ensuring the safety and well-being of both patients and residents.

In addition to its innovative design, Clinic Zen has been recognized with the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2022, a testament to its well-designed, practical, and innovative approach that meets professional and industrial requirements.
