Integrated "Landscape Roll" TOD Complex Unveiled by Aico Ltd

Aico Ltd proudly presents Sunac Chongqing Dazhulin, a "Landscape Roll" inspired Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) Complex. The project, located in Chongqing, is designed to seamlessly blend with the natural canyon park and adjacent water system, creating a unique urban-level leisure destination. The architectural form mirrors the transformation of the city's natural landscape, with the mountain as the building, the river as the corridor, and the village as the lane.

The project spans 241,920 sqm, featuring a retail podium, apartment area, and a striking six-floor retail space above ground. The design incorporates cutting-edge technologies such as mountain flood prevention and steel structure for the shopping mall's cloud-top and cantilevered roof platform. The facade of the shopping mall boasts regular hexagonal-shaped aluminum plates, adding to its unique appeal.

Challenges such as the base's distance from the city center and the complex mountainous terrain were overcome through innovative design strategies. The project commenced in October 2019 and has been recognized with the Silver A' Design Award in 2021, showcasing its outstanding expertise and innovation in architecture, building, and structure design.
