Design Unveiled: People's Diary Experience Center

The People's Diary Experience Center, designed by KEFENG SUN, is a multifunctional complex featuring exhibition halls, classrooms, convenient services, and hotels. The project is situated at the entrance of Yahuang Village, with a backdrop of mountains and a stream, surrounded by rural houses. The design integrates irregular land boundaries, accommodating 15240㎡ of buildings within a 9280㎡ area, while preserving the traditional Chinese courtyard house style.

Elongated buildings form a community, with each functional block placed in different elongated buildings. The design allows the natural environment to penetrate into the community, creating a harmonious blend of architecture and nature. The project duration spanned from February 2022 to June 2023, with the location being Yahuang Village, Shengzhou city, Zhejiang Province, China.

Dr. Kefeng Sun, the master's supervisor and national first-class registered architect at the China Academy of Art, led the design, drawing inspiration from the "People's Diary" and traditional Chinese culture. The project was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in 2024 for its outstanding expertise and innovation, showcasing a remarkable level of excellence and introducing positive feelings, amazement, and wonder.
