Magdalena Federowicz-Boule unveils the modernisation and rebranding of CP Budapest, a vibrant hotel inspired by Hungarian wine traditions, located in the heart of Budapest, near the monumental train station Nyugati and Westend City shopping mall.

Tremend design studio, led by Magdalena Federowicz-Boule, has completed the modernisation and rebranding of CP Budapest, a 230-room hotel located in the bustling centre of Budapest. The interior design draws inspiration from the hotel's location and Hungarian wine traditions, creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for guests and the local community.
The interiors of the hotel pay homage to the historical train station Nyugati, with lively and eclectic designs in the lobby and bar areas, while the first-floor restaurant, corridors, and guest rooms feature a more balanced color palette of natural earthy tones. The project aimed to correspond the interiors with the exterior elements, colors, and views, in accordance with the IHG Crowne Plaza brand standards.
Featuring a spacious lobby, bar zone, conference center, and VIP lounge, the hotel offers a modern and inviting space for both guests and the local community. The ground floor boasts a reception area and co-working zone, with a mezzanine floor above the bar that can be utilized as an extra co-working or VIP space. The first floor houses a conference center and breakfast restaurant, while the VIP lounge is located on the 6th floor.
The hotel rooms are designed with a greyish and earthy color palette, complemented by camel leather and green color accents, creating a cozy and welcoming ambiance for guests. The project, which began in 2020 and was completed in November 2021, has been recognized with the Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2022.
This redesign project serves as a symbol of the combination of the beauty of the journey, the vibrant city life, and Hungarian winery traditions, creating a trendy and vibrant meeting place in the heart of Budapest. The goal was to revive the space and create interaction between the interior and exterior, offering a new and exciting experience for guests and the local community.
