Renowned designer Masato Kure introduces the Yinchuan bookstore, a captivating space that embodies the essence of Ningxia, featuring intersecting bookshelves suspended in mid-air, creating a dynamic environment where diverse ideas, cultures, and perspectives converge.
The innovative design of intersecting bookshelves is reinforced with metal beams, ensuring structural stability and durability while adding a striking architectural feature to the space.
Located within a shopping mall in Yinchuan, China, the project commenced in January 2022 and was completed in July 2023, offering a cozy 500 square meters on the 6th floor and a more expansive 1500 square meters on the 7th, with a standout feature being the atrium connecting both floors, creating a memorable landmark for patrons to explore.
