Jeffrey Zee's Night of City (NOC) is an avant-garde, multi-purpose nightlife entertainment concept in Hangzhou, China, offering a transformative and immersive experience through cutting-edge design and technology.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Inspired by astral traveling and alternate realities, NOC is a 6,300-square-meter venue that integrates physical and virtual dimensions using organic forms, kinetic structures, and customized lighting. The space features 46 private rooms offering live DJ, karaoke, gaming, dining, and performances, ensuring privacy and safety in the post-pandemic era.
Utilizing advanced lighting and visual technologies, including kinetic lighting structures and custom-made 3D curved LED panels, NOC creates a surreal and immersive environment. The construction materials range from GRG glass reinforced gypsum to metal mesh, contributing to the venue's futuristic ambiance.
The project, initiated in October 2020 in Shanghai, was completed in June 2022, showcasing the seamless collaboration between the client team, consultants, and construction team. Overcoming challenges related to curvilinear design aesthetics, the project received the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2023, recognizing its innovation and excellence.
