Unique Timeless: A Modern Residential Apartment Renovation

Taiwanese designer TZU CHENG HUANG has transformed a 96 sqm residential apartment into a timeless living space. The renovation, completed in March 2023, features a soothing milk tea color scheme, curved elements, and seamless flooring, creating a visually stunning and functional environment.

The innovative design maximizes space and integrates multiple functions, including display storage, audio-visual entertainment, and a work area. Hidden storage solutions seamlessly blend into the space, ensuring a clutter-free environment.

The apartment's functional layout is tailored to suit the lifestyle of the owner and his wife, with a rotating TV wall serving as a focal point, breaking through the traditional boundaries of living, dining, and study areas.

With a focus on environmental protection and healthy living, the design incorporates natural, pure, and eco-friendly materials, such as mineral coatings, art cement, rattan, and wood, reducing the toxicity and pollution caused by traditional decoration projects.

The project, which began in November 2022, is a testament to the designer's commitment to simplicity, pressure relief, and the integration of multiple functional situations. Through the rotating sharing of the TV wall, the designer has achieved an ideal balance between functional needs and visual experience, setting a new standard for modern residential design.

For his outstanding and creatively ingenious design, TZU CHENG HUANG was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2024. This prestigious accolade recognizes designs that authenticate experience and resourcefulness, exhibiting strong technical and creative skills while contributing to quality of life improvements.
