YU-JUNG TSENG's Landscape Renovation Project in Mt. DaDu, Taichung City, Taiwan

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Reviving Agricultural Ecosystems and Urban Life

YU-JUNG TSENG's "Field Garden" project in Mt. DaDu, Taichung City, Taiwan, successfully transformed an abandoned fruit farm into a vibrant community garden, promoting harmony between agricultural ecosystems and urban life. The project, initiated in January 2021, was completed in February 2023, offering a symbiotic relationship between people and the agricultural ecological environment.

The 2,045 square meter garden features preserved 60-year-old Litchi chinensis trees at the entrance, symbolizing the new space. It incorporates a rainwater recycling system and a specially designed area for children to observe the ecology and the food forest. The project also addresses environmental challenges by introducing suitable native vegetation and incorporating terrain variations to mitigate noise and retain rainwater.

The design, inspired by the themes of "The Wizard of Oz," aims to create a joyful and welcoming space, encouraging interaction between parents and children in the neighborhood. By fostering increased migration and habitat opportunities for various animals and living creatures, the project significantly improves the overall biodiversity of the agricultural areas.

Millet Design, founded in 2003, has consistently created pleasant and comfortable living spaces, significantly improving the quality of residential public landscapes. With over 20 years of experience, the company has focused on restoring the ecological environment, reducing carbon emissions, and creating comfortable and healthy living environments.
