YU-JUNG TSENG Unveils Innovative Pocket Park Design in Fengyuan District
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Renowned designer YU-JUNG TSENG introduces a groundbreaking project, "Meeting Axis Deers," a pocket park in Fengyuan District, Taichung City. The design draws inspiration from the area's historical landscape, aiming to create a serene oasis within the bustling city.
The project, covering 1980 square meters, aims to transform the urban environment by demolishing old buildings and creating green spaces. It will maximize the area of green space, offering pleasant pedestrian corridors and pocket parks accessible to the public, promoting a healthier lifestyle.
The innovative design incorporates advanced technologies such as carbon sequestration, air purification, and rainwater management, contributing to environmental sustainability and community well-being. The project is set to be completed by June 2024.
The "Meeting Axis Deers" project presents a unique approach to urban landscaping, addressing challenges such as urban heat island effect and water scarcity. By utilizing locally recycled materials and native Taiwanese plants, the design aims to create a low-carbon garden that integrates seamlessly with the natural surroundings.
YU-JUNG TSENG's vision for the pocket park emphasizes the importance of ecological sustainability and community welfare, offering a harmonious blend of nature and urban living. The project has been recognized with the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in Landscape Planning and Garden Design.
