Renowned designer Miguel Barbas unveils the innovative Clinic Cascais, a healthcare space that redefines the patient experience with a unique blend of aesthetics and functionality.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Miguel Barbas introduces Clinic Cascais, a groundbreaking healthcare space that merges form and function to create a one-of-a-kind patient experience. The clinic's design inspiration stemmed from a desire to evoke a blend of sensations through the use of white space, exposed concrete, and strategic lighting. The layout distribution was influenced by the breathtaking view of the Serra de Sintra, ensuring that waiting areas double as spaces for visual contemplation.
The clinic's standout feature is its seamless integration of natural light, achieved through the strategic use of glass, marble, and concrete. This approach not only reduces the environmental footprint but also creates a comfortable and inviting atmosphere for patients. The interior spaces prioritize the use of natural light, with most interior walls made of glass to allow ample sunlight. Additionally, the recovery office offers a picturesque view of the Palacio da Pena, enhancing the overall patient experience.
Designed with a focus on sustainability and patient comfort, Clinic Cascais stands as one of the largest clinics in Portugal, setting a new standard for healthcare space design. The project commenced in 2019 and was completed in 2020, showcasing Miguel Barbas's commitment to creating innovative and functional designs that elevate the human experience.
