Zhubo Design Unveils the Spectacular Windy Pavilion in Huizhou City, China, 2022
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Zhubo Design proudly presents the Windy Pavilion, a breathtaking architectural masterpiece nestled in the picturesque landscape of Huizhou City, Guangdong Province, China. Inspired by the surrounding mountains and lake, this innovative structure redefines the traditional concept of a viewing space, seamlessly integrating with nature while providing a functional and open environment for leisure and business activities.
The Windy Pavilion boasts a unique concrete shell structure, with a thickness ranging from 200mm to 500mm, creating a captivating irregular curved design that challenges conventional architectural norms. The project's total land area spans 714m2, with a construction area of 540m2, offering a volume rate of 0.76 and a building height of 4m, all meticulously designed to harmonize with the natural surroundings.
With a focus on softening the typically rigid concrete materials, Zhubo Design has successfully crafted a space that exudes warmth and elegance, providing visitors with a functional viewing space that includes a snack bar, beverage table, bathroom, and rest step. The structure's design seamlessly integrates the elements of "Mountain and Sea Wind," creating a human landscape with beautiful curves that captivate the eye and spirit.
Recognized for its exceptional design, the Windy Pavilion was awarded the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2023, a testament to its outstanding technical characteristics and remarkable innovation. This architectural marvel stands as a symbol of Zhubo Design's commitment to pushing the boundaries of architectural excellence and creating spaces that inspire awe and wonder.
