The Urla Summer House, conceived by Aynur Kirduk, is a testament to contemporary design inspired by the tranquil beauty of Turkey's Aegean coast. Developed in close collaboration with clients seeking a serene yet modern retreat, the project integrates natural materials and large windows to create a living space that blurs the boundaries between indoors and outdoors. Every room opens onto lush gardens, allowing residents to immerse themselves in the calming ambiance of Urla's landscape.
Distinctive features set the Urla Summer House apart, including a single-story layout that fosters a strong connection with nature, micro concrete and natural wood flooring for warmth, and custom furniture crafted from lacquer, wood, fabric, and stone. The design's soft tones and textures, combined with unique details in the bedroom and master bathroom, offer both luxury and functionality. Special attention was given to optimizing natural light, with a ceiling height of 320 cm and expansive windows ensuring every corner feels bright and spacious.
The realization of the project involved prioritizing durability and aesthetics, with custom-designed furniture and secure packaging for sensitive materials. The design process, completed within two months, overcame the challenge of pre-construction planning by maintaining continuous communication with the clients and conducting detailed analyses. The result is a sophisticated, inviting summer house that reflects the coastal lifestyle of Urla while meeting the highest standards of modern interior design. The project's recognition with the Bronze A' Design Award highlights its creative ingenuity and contribution to enhancing quality of life through thoughtful design.
