Kris Lin's "Vitality Orange" gym in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, completed in December 2024, has been awarded the Golden A' Design Award for its groundbreaking blend of fitness, leisure, and social interaction, using vibrant design and sustainable materials to redefine the gym experience for young urban residents.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Kris Lin International Design has announced that its latest project, "Vitality Orange," has been honored with the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design category for 2025. Located in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, and completed in December 2024, Vitality Orange sets a new benchmark for fitness centers by seamlessly integrating exercise, leisure, and social spaces into a single, dynamic environment. The project was inspired by the growing demand among urban youth for spaces that support both healthy living and meaningful social interaction.
The design of Vitality Orange is distinguished by its rhythmic, flowing curves and the bold use of bright orange accents, creating a lively and inviting atmosphere. Unlike traditional gyms, the open layout merges fitness areas with a café and flexible workspaces, encouraging users to move effortlessly between activities. Large windows flood the space with natural light, while functional furniture and movable partitions allow for easy reconfiguration to suit different needs, from solo workouts to group gatherings or quiet relaxation.
Sustainability is at the core of the project, with eco-friendly materials such as Wood-Plastic Composites bamboo charcoal wood panels and high-gloss white boards used throughout the interior. These formaldehyde-free materials not only enhance air quality and reduce odors but also align with carbon neutrality principles, offering durability and ease of installation. The innovative use of smart furniture and adaptive zoning further optimizes space utilization, providing a comfortable, health-promoting environment that appeals to young people and families alike. By combining fitness, leisure, and social functions, Vitality Orange elevates the gym experience, making it a vibrant community hub in the heart of Xi'an.
