"Top View" Model House: A Fusion of Nature, Leisure, and Modern Luxury on the Ou River

"Top View," designed by Kris Lin, is a standout model house located on the southern bank of the lower Ou River in Wenzhou. Completed in January 2024, the project was inspired by the desire to merge natural beauty with a relaxed, family-oriented lifestyle. The home's design features a sweeping 270-degree river view, expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, and an open-plan layout that transforms the living space into a family café-ideal for gatherings, socializing, and enjoying daily moments of leisure such as afternoon tea or relaxing on a swing. By infusing the home with elements reminiscent of a café, the design fosters creativity, vitality, and a sense of community within the family.

The project distinguishes itself through its seamless integration with the surrounding landscape, allowing residents to enjoy the river breeze, sunlight, and scenic vistas from every major area of the house. High-quality materials such as LAMINAM ceramic slabs, Mia Mia yellow marble, shadow wood, and leather are thoughtfully combined to create an elegant yet inviting atmosphere. The use of low-emission glass and energy-efficient materials underscores the project's commitment to sustainability, while a smart home system provides effortless control over lighting, climate, and security for enhanced comfort and convenience.

"Top View" also addresses the challenge of balancing openness and privacy. While the open layout and panoramic windows maximize natural light and views, strategic zoning and clever partitions ensure that private spaces like bedrooms and bathrooms remain secluded. The design incorporates local Wenzhou cultural elements, creating a strong sense of place and identity. By breaking away from traditional layouts and embracing a more flexible, youthful approach, the project not only elevates the quality of living for its residents but also enhances the market appeal and brand value for high-end clients seeking a harmonious blend of modern luxury and natural tranquility.

This innovative approach earned "Top View" the Bronze A' Design Award in 2025, recognizing its excellence in combining art, science, and technology to improve quality of life and set new standards in interior space design.
