Greystone House, a visionary residential project by Ahmed Habib, has captured international acclaim by winning the Silver A' Design Award 2025. Located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, this 1,250 sqm villa stands as a testament to the harmonious integration of modern minimalism, environmental awareness, and respect for local culture. The design process, spanning from February to August 2023, focused on creating a serene living environment that seamlessly connects indoor and outdoor spaces while prioritizing privacy and climate responsiveness.

Inspired by the principles of minimalism and the beauty of nature, Greystone House features sleek lines, a refined palette of white, gray stone, and wood, and expansive windows that flood interiors with natural light. The outdoor area, highlighted by a wooden deck and a central tree, invites relaxation and social interaction amid lush greenery. Distinct entrances for family, guests, and garden access, along with thoughtfully zoned living spaces, ensure both functionality and tranquility for residents.

The project's realization relied on sustainable materials and advanced construction methods, including concrete, gray stone, double-glazed glass, and perforated GRC patterns. Extensive research into client needs, cultural requirements, environmental factors, and technical solutions informed every stage of the design. Overcoming challenges such as harmonizing traditional living with modern aesthetics and managing local regulations, Greystone House sets a new benchmark for residential architecture in the region, offering a living experience that is both innovative and deeply rooted in its context.
