The Hong Kong Polytechnic University's Campus Development Office has transformed a previously underutilized plaza into The University Square, a 2,200-square-meter pedestrian-friendly lawn and open space, officially opened in October 2023. This innovative project enhances campus connectivity, celebrates natural heritage, and introduces a new paradigm for social interaction, earning the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2025.
