Arthur Yang's innovative fitness club design, inspired by the story of Adam and Eve, wins prestigious award
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Arthur Yang's Whyte Woolf fitness club design has been awarded the Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category for 2021. The 1800m2 fitness club, located in Chengdu, China, was inspired by the classic story of the Bible and the contemporary reflection of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. The design aims to symbolize the transition of human society from barbarism to modern civilization and the conscious effort to shape one's form through exercise.
The design stands out with its use of environmental protection materials, glass, aluminum alloy sections, white steel, artificial terrazzo, gypsum, and plastic wood floor. The space is decorated with symbolic figures, adding depth and meaning to the otherwise simple environment.
Arthur Yang, along with team members Ye Yang and Xinan Zhou, overcame the challenge of creating a concise space by paying meticulous attention to detail. The design project commenced in June 2020 and was completed in July 2020, taking three months to finish.
Yang's innovative approach to fitness club design has been recognized for its outstanding expertise, innovation, and remarkable level of excellence. The design introduces positive feelings, amazement, and wonder, making it a deserving recipient of the Silver A' Design Award.
