Xiu Shan Reception Center by Wei Ting Lin

Wei Ting Lin's Xiu Shan Reception Center, located in New Taipei City, Taiwan, is a residential project that has been awarded the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in 2020. Completed in December 2019, the reception center stands out for its unique integration with the adjacent park, offering a comfortable and inviting space for visitors.

The reception center's design breaks away from the traditional luxury sales concept, embracing the idea of "Living in the Park." The use of metal sheets and frames, along with full glass windows, creates a simple yet beautiful architectural appearance, fostering a warm and homey atmosphere. The interior space is carefully crafted to provide a seamless connection with the surrounding greenery, enhancing the overall living experience.

Wei Ting Lin's design team utilized a combination of wood, metal, and concrete to realize the project, incorporating elements of vertical greenery and environmental landscaping. The strategic placement of the building, along with the use of floor-to-ceiling windows, allows for an immersive interaction with the natural surroundings, offering a unique and refreshing experience for visitors.

Recognizing the challenges posed by the open site and the need to address environmental factors such as wind and sunlight exposure, the design team implemented innovative solutions, including a specially designed metal truss roof to mitigate these issues while maximizing natural light exposure.
