Hong Kong Trade Development Council Creates an Immersive Introductory Passageway Experience
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) has unveiled "Capsules of Wonder," an immersive introductory passageway experience at the Salon de TE, a specialized hall at the Hong Kong Watch and Clock Fair. The concept was inspired by the need to stimulate visitors' imagination with the feeling of new discoveries, resulting in a futuristic journey through the "Capsules of Wonder."
The passageway, designed to evoke the curiosity of visitors, featured a futuristic departure lounge, dramatic lighting, and interactive experiences, leading to a 1800m2 space housing a welcome reception, VIP lounge, and a multifunctional open stage area. The production utilized reusable aluminum systems, stretched vinyl prints, biodegradable carpets, and integrated augmented and virtual reality technology into the spatial design.
From a 3m high x 5m wide hexagon-shaped gateway to interactive screens and a 17m diameter open chamber area with a 9m wide stage, the passageway offered a visually stunning and interactive experience. The project, located at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, was completed in just 3 months and ran for 5 days, showcasing over 140 international watch brands.
