Modern Odyssey by Hong Kong Trade Development Council at 2019 Hong Kong International Jewellery Show
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The 2019 Hong Kong International Jewellery Show witnessed a transformative journey through installation spaces, as the Hong Kong Trade Development Council unveiled "Modern Odyssey," inspired by ancient Greek mythology. The concept aimed to uplift the overall image of the event, adorning the main foyer and various entrances with allegorical installations representing Greek deities.
The innovative design utilized lightweight metallic structures, translucent graphic mesh, and bespoke props, illuminated by LED lighting and ambient soundtracks. Despite the tight 3-day setup window, the installations, including a 17m wide Zeus shrine and LED waterfall, captivated visitors with their grandeur and artistry.
From Zeus as a welcoming installation at the main foyer to representations of Poseidon, Hera, Apollo, Artemis, and Athena at other entrance areas, the flow of the installations followed a chronological order, immersing visitors in a mythological journey. The project, located at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, was completed within a 3-month duration, culminating in a 5-day event from February 28th to March 4th, 2019.
