Ricky's Kitchen Design Unveiled at K11 Art Mall, Kowloon, Hong Kong

Ricky's Kitchen has unveiled a groundbreaking restaurant design at K11 Art Mall, Kowloon, Hong Kong, completed in November 2019. The design, spearheaded by Managing Director Alvan Suen, reinterprets and illustrates the spirit of fusion while capturing the essence of Hong Kong. The project was awarded the prestigious Golden A' Design Award in 2020 for its outstanding and trendsetting creativity.

The design draws inspiration from the unique scenery of Hong Kong, featuring a "one-line sky" representation and a cantilever structure above the walkway, reflecting the city's architectural landscape. The feature wall, inspired by the night view of the city, symbolizes the "concrete forest," a nod to Hong Kong's urban environment.

Utilizing advanced technology, the design team employed prefabricated panels for the feature wall, designed patterns with computer-generated scripts, and extensively used rendering to test materials and lighting. The restaurant spans 1358 sq.ft. with a capacity of 66, offering a layout that creates semi-private zones for different sizes of gatherings.

Alvan Suen, the visionary behind the project, is the Managing Director and founder of Nameless Hong Kong Limited. A graduate of the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Art in Architectural Studies, Suen's innovative approach to environmental design has earned him accolades and recognition in the industry.
