Daisuke Nagatomo and Minnie Jan present a sustainable and innovative Circular Economy Exhibition Design
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Daisuke Nagatomo and Minnie Jan have unveiled their latest project, the "We Transforming" Circular Economy Exhibition Design, at the Taiwan Design Expo 2022. Inspired by the concept of circular economy, the exhibition aims to showcase the transformation towards a sustainable future, utilizing existing resources and innovative solutions.
The main structure of the exhibition is composed of the Infinity Shelf system, making it nearly 90 percent recyclable, with all display materials and fabrics intended for reuse after the exhibition. The exhibition covers a total area of 1123 m2 and is located in Taipei, Taiwan, before moving to Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
The exhibition challenges the traditional design and build methods of temporary exhibitions, aiming to minimize waste and create a social impact by educating the general public about sustainable lifestyle choices. The design features a journey of perpetual transformation, divided into 7 themed zones, including Food, Product life cycle, New business model, Fabric, Architecture, Infrastructure, and Sustainable Lifestyle.
Daisuke Nagatomo, a renowned architect and assistant professor at National Chiao Tung University in Taiwan, and Minnie Jan, the co-founder of MisoSoupDesign, have received the prestigious Silver A' Design Award for their outstanding work on the Circular Economy Exhibition Design. The exhibition is a testament to their commitment to sustainable design and innovative solutions.
