FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Prashant Chauhan's Molten High is a striking multi-storey residential building located in the hot and dry Tier 2 town of Nashik, India. The design concept draws inspiration from the town's traditional pottery craft, symbolizing the transformation of a clay container into a unique architectural expression. The building's standout feature is a parametric skin on the southwest staircase, which introduces filtered light and ventilation, creating a captivating contrast to the simple and refined array of windows and balconies.
The facade's distinctive molten appearance is achieved through custom-made recycled plastic ribs, showcasing a fusion of traditional artistry and innovative technology. With dimensions of 20M x 4M x 50M, Molten High stands as a testament to the seamless integration of contemporary design and local heritage, redefining luxury residences in Nashik.
The project, led by Prashant Chauhan as the Creative Director and Anu Chauhan as the Project Architect, commenced its design phase in July 2020 and was successfully delivered by January 2021. The design team's meticulous attention to detail and innovative approach has garnered international recognition, with Molten High receiving the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2021 for its practical, well-designed, and innovative architectural concept.
