Prashant Chauhan, renowned architect and founder of ZERO9, has announced the completion of 4.56 JVPD, a landmark luxury residential building in Juhu, Mumbai. Completed in December 2024 after a four-year construction period, the project introduces a new paradigm of urban luxury, offering one spacious apartment per floor and two exclusive duplexes. Each residence is designed with a private lift, column-free interiors, and expansive windows that maximize natural daylight and cross ventilation, setting a new benchmark for high-end living in Mumbai's dense urban landscape.
4.56 JVPD stands 52.9 meters tall and features apartments measuring 27.5 by 10.5 meters, realized using advanced post-tensioned slab technology. This innovative structural approach eliminates internal columns and beams, providing residents with unmatched flexibility to customize their interiors. The building's design responds to the typical constraints of Mumbai apartments-often small and compartmentalized-by creating open, airy spaces that evoke a true sense of luxury. Each apartment includes an east-facing balcony, capturing the morning sun and enhancing the overall living experience.
The project overcame significant challenges, including strict height restrictions due to its location under the airport funnel zone. Through the use of post-tensioned slabs, Chauhan and his team successfully incorporated five podiums and ten floors without compromising on space or design integrity. The result is a building that not only meets but exceeds industry standards for luxury, functionality, and innovation. Recognized with the Iron A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award in 2025, 4.56 JVPD exemplifies how thoughtful design and advanced engineering can transform urban residential living.
