Monique Lee's Operetta: A Fusion of Classic and Modern Theatrical Design in a Hong Kong Restaurant

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Operetta: A Fusion of Classic and Modern Theatrical Design

Monique Lee's Operetta restaurant in Hong Kong is a fusion of classic and modern theatrical design, inspired by elements of classic and modern theatres, complemented by Italian architectural designs of the 17th to 18th centuries. The restaurant's design combines stage concepts of performing arts seen in the old and modern days, with an interactive medium that links up performers and the audience. The EYE concept is a medium for chefs and mixologists to interact, allowing all customers to see their superb skills.

The design materials and colors are an integration of traditions and innovations to create a unique theatre. Wood, patterned fabrics, bricks, tiles cross-over with modern lighting systems, steel constructions, and mirrors. The site area is 480.7 sq.m, and the project started in Feb 2016 and finished in Sept 2016 in Hong Kong, located at Shop 112, Pacific Place 1/F, 88 Queensway, Admiralty, Hong Kong.

Monique Lee, Interior Design Director of Mas Studio Ltd., is the creative mind behind Operetta. She has a passion for art and has always aspired to design for spatial comfort and simplicity. Her designs are well received by clients as a blend of inspiration and functionality. Monique Lee's Operetta was awarded Iron in A' Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design Award in 2018.
