Nobuaki Miyashita's Marina Gold, a luxury resort hotel inspired by Mui Ne Beach's sunsets and cruise ship elegance, has been awarded the Silver A' Design Award for its innovative, sustainable, and iconic design, scheduled to open in 2030 on Vietnam's southeastern coast.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Marina Gold, designed by Nobuaki Miyashita, has been recognized with the prestigious Silver A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award for 2025. Set to open in 2030 on Mui Ne Beach, Vietnam, this luxury resort hotel captures the essence of a floating cruise ship aglow in sunset hues. Its striking diagonal silhouette, golden exterior panels, and cantilevered glass-bottom rooftop pool establish Marina Gold as a new architectural icon along Vietnam's southeastern coast.
Inspired by the breathtaking sunsets of Mui Ne Beach, the design features a radiant gold façade that reflects the setting sun, creating the illusion of a ship sailing into golden light. The building rises from the 7th to the 20th floor in a dynamic, futuristic form, culminating in a rooftop oasis with a panoramic restaurant, bar lounge, and a pool that extends toward the ocean. The interior, adorned with premium wood and marble, further enhances the ambiance of luxury and relaxation, offering guests an immersive resort experience that harmonizes with the surrounding ocean and forest.
Marina Gold's realization involved advanced engineering, including reinforced concrete and steel structures to support its bold cantilevered elements. The project overcame significant challenges, such as coastal regulations, material limitations, and the technical demands of the glass-bottom pool, through extensive research in sustainability, aerodynamics, and guest experience. As a result, Marina Gold not only sets a new standard for resort architecture but also contributes to the evolution of sustainable tourism and coastal hospitality in Vietnam. Its recognition with the Silver A' Design Award underscores its remarkable blend of innovation, artistry, and environmental harmony.
